Bill Wong, born in Hong Kong, first came to America in 1968 at age 3. He grew up in the Washington D.C. area and currently lives in Rockville, MD. He first attended WIC in 1994. He was lead to Christ, baptized, and married at WIC. He serves as a Sunday school teacher and Elder. He is married and has 2 daughters.
Hani Assiryani has been part of the international community in the Washington, D.C. area since 1992. He is an Arab-American from Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ. Although he comes from a rich Christian heritage, it is his home grown faith that drew him to WIC, a place where cultures are celebrated with Jesus being the focus, and where a bible-grounded faith in the living God can flourish. Hani enjoys serving with the worship team and writing music in Arabic and English. He and his wife, Rima, and their two children joined WIC in 2013.
Larry Wong began attending Washington International Church in January of 2010 and is originally from Wichita, Kansas. He retired from the United States Navy after serving 20 years as a Hospital Corpsman, and is currently working at Montgomery County Public Schools as the supervisor for information security and risk management. Additionally, Larry is an adjunct professor at Technical Institute located (ITT) in Hanover, MD. He is one of the Stephen Leaders for the Stephen Ministry program that provides one-to-one lay ministry care to those in the congregation needing high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting. Larry and his wife, Susan, have been married for over 31 years and raised three daughters. Susan owns and operates LINS Assisted Living House in Gaithersburg, Maryland and is a trained Stephen Minister.
Robert Dalzell was born in Pittsburgh, PA, but grew up in South Florida. He currently lives in Bethesda, Md. Since 1990 he has worked as a Federal Civil Servant in the field of affordable housing. He and his family have been attending WIC since 2005.
